Tummy Ache is a British slow-fashion brand and magazine that is using fashion and art to open up an honest conversation surrounding mental health, and empower those struggling to feel seen and powerful.

The power of emotional honesty rests at the heart of Tummy Ache designs. Created by Founder Anna Morrissey as an expression of her struggle with bad mental health. Tummy Ache is creating garments that are emblems of feeling, with some self-aware humour embroidered into the seams.

“Having the language to understand my emotions, and explain them to others, allowed me to regain some control over myself again.” Anna explains.

Tummy Ache aims to create a community where other people struggling can feel seen and heard, and empowered to open up these conversations with others through the medium of fashion.

All our clothing is made in England using sustainable, and traceable, materials.

Published bi-annually, Tummy Ache magazine fosters the importance of community when forging change, and offers a space to share, collaborate, read, listen, and meet like-minded people. Each issue centres around an emotionally inspired theme, while always encompassing the core values of slowing down, mental health transparency, and a sustainable fashion future.
