In my work I explore the idea of how resilience manifests in our lives and bodies. People contorting to expand society's cultural constructs, redefining their limbs and the frontiers between what society tells us to be and what we want to be. Being a non-binary person from a small town in Spain with a mixed cultural family background, I grew up without queer referents within my near context.

I was that person who didn’t adjust to the cultural manners imposed by a gender binary through my Spanish/Venezuelan family, school and friends. I did struggle as a kid but I also learnt how to create my own world, sometimes a fantasy world where I could be whoever I wanted.
That is my way of being defiant, expressing myself freely and creating images that people can relate to.
