Three Defiance Inspired Outfits That Are Blurring Boundaries

A series of defiant outfits, bending the rules of fashion, social norms or just wearing what makes you feel bold and unapologetic.

Emily Odesser, Zoey Jacqueline and Elfie Kretscher share the outfits that are making them feel defiant this season.

Em ODesser

This is an outfit I want to wear when quarantine is over! I love the renaissance aesthetic and pairing it with an ultra skimpy skirt feels like a perfect modern update - I kind of love having as much skin exposed as possible.

Zoey Jacqueline

This outfit is defiant because it combines my two worlds, the fashion industry and the beauty in the mundane. The jacket was thrifted from a market stall to keep me warm on dog walks and the skirt hoop was acquired for an editorial I was styling and shooting for. I think this outfit defies expectations because it challenges what an outfit can be. Without the other garment you can have an everyday or eccentric outfit, but together they make something which best represents me.

I class myself as a very strong independent woman who refuses to conform to the social boundaries of what is seen as ‘acceptable’ for a woman to wear/look like. I adore the female form and see it as a figure of beauty, I have no insecurity about who I am and what I represent as a hyper-feminine woman.
